During this semester I had a lot of fun working on my WordPress site. I had a lot of fun with everything that happened. It was very challenging to me at first because I didn’t know how to use technology very well. In this class I learned how to create my own webpage and how to create a podcast and all kinds of different things that I would’ve never known how to do if it wasn’t for the class. I was very hesitant in the beginning because I didn’t know if I could actually figure out how to be able too do all the different things because I am not computer smart and I don’t know how to do much on them. during this time I learned a lot and have more skill than I ever thought I would with computers. I am very grateful for this opportunity and for the time I’ve had in this class with everyone.

I’ve done a lot of research on tiny houses, that is my topic. This topic is something newer to the community, there is a lot of controversy over the topic because people want to know if tiny houses are a good idea or if they aren’t such a good idea. I’ve spent a semester in college gathering a lot of information on the topic and I want to share all that I’ve gathered. Before starting this project I was really wanting to build a tiny house and live in it through the rest of my college, when I started gathering information on the subject I found some good sources about tiny houses. From the information I’ve gathered I wanted to find sources that have owned tiny houses or have had experience with tiny houses because I feel like they would know more about them and know what the pros and cons actually are. For some people tiny houses are probably a good idea and for some people tiny houses seem like they just don’t fit right with them. This is something that I wanted to learn information on and actually interested me and may influence some decisions in my life. Where I’m in college I was thinking abut either moving into an apartment or building a tiny house in my parents back yard. My mom and dad don’t want me to move out so they talked about building me a tiny house so I wouldn’t have to “move out in the real world”, I want to have more freedom than I have right now is why i am wanting to move out. This research has made a huge impact on what my final decision is going to be.

One of the first sources I’m going to talk about is that tiny houses are cheaper for someone to buy. Cost for regular size home is pretty expensive and can put you where you have to pay on it your whole life. Tiny houses are cheaper for people if you are not looking to spend a ton of money. This is good for some people because some people can’t afford regular size homes. To me the cost of regular homes are outrageous unless you can find a really good deal. Most of the research that I’ve done, peoples main reasons for going “tiny” is the money situation. I understand where people are coming from and if there is a certain amount of money that you are limited too then I would go tiny because the overall price between a tiny house and a normal sized house is a pretty good chunk of money. If you can’t afford a house and want to downsize I think a tiny house would be a good option for you.

Another source I read said that by the square foot tiny houses are actually not cheaper. This source said that tiny houses square foot cost around 400 dollars per square foot and a regular sized home cost around 150 dollars a per square foot. In the overall price tiny houses would cost less because the size of a tiny house is drastically tinier than a regular sized home. If money is not a issue than I would go ahead and get a regular sized home. If you purchase a regular sized home you get more for your money in the long run. There are a lot of different ways to look at the situation, it really just depends on how much money you are wanting to spend on a house to decide the size of it .

One source I read stated that tiny houses have no room to grow in. I understand where she was coming from because she stated that her and her spouse got married and built a tiny house. She said that that was pretty much what they could afford to do at the time which that is understandable. She then ended up getting pregnant by accident and had her baby. The tiny house was not spacious enough for her and her husband let alone a kid that they were now bringing to life. The tiny house ended up being way too tiny for the three they ended up having to move back in with their parents because of the spacing issue. This to them was a major bummer because they had worked so hard on the tiny house for pretty much nothing because it was no use to them anymore. The couple said the tiny house was a pain in their butt because they now had to haul the tiny house wherever they went, it was just a burden to them at this point. They did however end up selling the tiny house and made a small profit off of it, so something good did come out of it.

Tiny houses have a lot of different opinions about if they are the right decision or not for people. One article I read was about how there was a woman and she was in some financial trouble and was older and she had a 2200 square foot house and she was sos stressed out all the time. She didn’t know what to do and didn’t really see any light at the end of the tunnel. She said she was tired, sick, and in turmoil from all the stress that her live was giving her. She ended up getting so busy and wasn’t able to take care of herself and her health started deteriorating. She ended up deciding to sell her huge home and go tiny and buy a tiny house. This for her was such a relief and helped her and her family so much. This gave her and her family so much financial freedom and freedom to go out and do more things. A tiny house for her was really a huge milestone and helped her and her family a lot. I feel like a tiny house can be good for some people.

After all the information that I’ve gathered I’ve came to the conclusion that tiny houses can be good for some people and for others not so much. If space is an issue then I don’t recommend tiny houses for them. If you are someone that doesn’t need a lot of space and want more freedom then I recommend that you should look into getting one. The point that I’m at right now in my life I don’t think a tiny house would be a good idea. I came into this thinking tiny houses were cool and that maybe id want to own one but now my opinion has changed and I don’t think I could live in one.

Tiny houses are the new movement in homeownership. Tiny houses are great for people that want to have their dream house but they are on a fixed budget. The cost of building a tiny house is much more efficient than a regular home and you can get everything you want in your dream home. American’s are tired of having to pay so much for their houses. “For most Americans, 1/3 to 1/2 of their income is dedicated to the roof over their heads! That means many people will spend a lot of time figuring out how to afford their homes. Buying a house often translates to at least 15 years of working over your lifetime to pay for it. Because of the high cost of owning a “typical-sized” home, as well as the associated expenses (and culture of “buy now, pay later”), 76% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.”(The Tiny Life) It’s also much cheaper for utilities to live in a tiny house. Even though their is many benefits of a tiny house many people do not like living in such a small enclosed space. Tiny houses aren’t for big families as you would be falling over one another. You may not be in very safe coverage during a storm either.

The webpage that I was searching about was about golden doodles, I was just wanting to know general information about them because I was thinking about purchasing one. when I first clicked on the article I thought maybe the website was going to be a website where they sell golden doodles but when I clicked on it I found out that the website was giving different information about them. I need to know information about these type of dogs if I am thinking about purchasing one so I think its a good idea too read it and get someone with experience of having these dogs to see their opinion on them. I would think the information will be presented in words in different sections of the website. the webpage is talking about how much they love golden doodles and where they originally originated from. The website also talks about what the dogs were used for back then but how more people are using these dogs as companions instead of working dogs. the website also talks about the size of the doodles and what their different coat types were. In the website they people that made it put a link to breeders that sell them that are some of the best breeders incase someone was wanting to buy one. The only appeal that I see being used is they put some pictures of puppies on the page, I feel like that appeals to your emotion because if you see a cute picture of a puppy, you’re gonna automatically want it. This webpage makes sense to me and explains a lot of what I wanted to know about this dog breed before I purchase one. I have learned that webpages give a lot of good information on different topics and elaborate more on what I am wanting to learn about. I have learned a lot of new information on this dog breed. This webpage to me is pretty effective and has given me a lot if good details about this dog breed. I think I will need to add pictures because I think pictures draw the reader in and make them want to learn what the picture is about.

There are some people that do think tiny houses are for them. I got from an article information on how tiny houses are a good investment for some people and benefit them in some ways. I think from the information I have gathered I need to shed light on people and add some pros to the mix of all the bad that everyone has talked about.

From this article i have read and the person was talking about how she owned a 2,200 square foot house, it was huge and she was so stressed out about all the things she had to do. She said she was tired, sick, and in turmoil from all the stress that her live was giving her. She ended up getting so busy and wasn’t able to take care of herself and her health started deteriorating. The family had too find something to be able to get the stress out of their life, they decided to go tiny. This gave the family more financial freedom and room to be able to do more things and be able to take care of theirselves better. People thought they were crazy for downsizing and weren’t sure of their decisions. The family was happy that they were able to get what they desired at a cheaper price and still what they wanted. This couple is a prime example of how a tiny house would benefit someone in some ways. A tiny house can be a good thing and a stress relief for a lot of people.

if you There are some people that don’t think tiny houses are a good investment. I looked up and found a article of someone who thought tiny houses were a no go from experience. I feel like I need to add information from people that have experienced living in a tiny house because those people have lived in one and know more about it than someone who has just asked around about them.

In the article I read they buyers said they purchased a plan from Tumbleweed Tiny Houses. The couple spent a year building their house and didn’t have all the money upfront so it took longer to build. At first the people really enjoyed living in a tiny house and getting rid of all the stuff they didn’t need. It was a very fun adventure until the couple found out they were pregnant 6 months later. The small space for the couple was just too much while the wife was pregnant and so they need up moving in with their family. The couple realized the tiny house was just too much maintenance for them from having to haul it place to place. The couple ended up selling the tiny house but made a little profit on it. If you are planning on starting a family or not wanting to give up a lot of space I don’t think a tiny house is best for you

I really don’t care much for the video assignment, I feel like it doesn’t help anymore than the other assignments. I’m the type of person I would rather just “stick to the script so to speak. I would rather just do the research and write about it. I used the same pictures as in the WordPress site. I feel like it was me just redoing the same thing over again and it didn’t really help me in any way. it does in some ways annoy me because I feel like it doesn’t really make a difference or help me any.

I haven’t really learned anything new for my topic. All of the information that I put in the video I already knew and was just rewording it in a different way. I did however learn how to make a picture video and that is a plus I guess.

I feel pretty good about my progress in this class. I feel like I am learning a lot. I feel like I am getting better with technology overall. I feel like I could have done better about meeting with the CEC, I need to get caught up with her. I just haven’t been on my A game and getting what I need done when I need it done.

I searched up tiny houses and videos came up of different tiny houses, the first one that popped up was a video of different tiny houses labeled tiny houses PSA. I think this video will be a video of just different tiny houses. I feel like the video will show me what different tiny houses look like. This PSA was promoting a certain place that has tiny houses and was talking about how tiny houses were “sweeping the nation”. This PSA was talking about how there was going to be an auction to sell tiny houses and was trying to tell people to go to the auction. This PSA makes sense to me and I understand what it is trying to say. I chose this topic to look up because this is what I am doping my research over and my PSA over so it gave me a lot of ideas as to what to include in mine and how to go about making it. This PSA would be effective I feel like if people were interested in buying a tiny houses and they could go to the auction and bid on the tiny house and could get a better deal at the time this video was made.
